| Abstract: | В статье рассматриваются значение королевской власти и монархии в Великобритании. Указывается на уникальную роль королевы Елизаветы II на своем посту и влияние ее образа и поведения на граждан Соединенного королевства Великобритании и Северной Ирландии. Автор приводит статистические данные, свидетельствующие о большой поддержке монархии в английском обществе. Подчеркивается особое значение королевской власти как воплощения нации, таинственного и магического наследника бесконечного прошлого, с одной стороны, и также как отдельную человеческую личность, с другой стороны. Особо рассмотрены вопросы пристального внимания гражданского общества к похоронам Елизаветы II и глобального резонанса, который они вызвали. |
| Abstract (in another language): | The article examines the significance of royalty and the monarchy in Great Britain. It points to the unique role of Queen Elizabeth II in her position and the influence of her image and behavior on the citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The author cites statistics showing the great support for the monarchy in English society. The special importance of royalty as the embodiment of the nation, the mysterious and magical heir to an infinite past, on the one hand, but also as a human personality, on the other hand, is emphasized. Particular attention is paid to the close scrutiny of Elizabeth II’s funeral and the global resonance it caused. |
