| Abstract: | Статья посвящена рассмотрению категории модальности как компонента убеждения на примере научного текста. Модальность реализует такие формы аргументации, как аргументация-подтверждение, аргументация-опровержение, причинная аргументация. Выявлены виды модальности, участвующие в этих формах аргументации: эвиденциальная модальность, иллюстративная модальность, модальность отрицания, каузальная модальность. Эвиденциальная модальность, иллюстративная модальность участвуют в аргументации-подтверждении. Каузальная модальность участвует в причинной аргументации. Модальность отрицания реализует аргументацию-опровержение. Вышеуказанные виды модальности объединены в логическую модальность, так как выполняют единую прагматическую функцию — логическое выделение наиболее значимых аргументов, обосновывающих достоверность авторских высказываний. Повышая степень достоверности авторских высказываний, логическая модальность реализует аргументативный аспект релевантности авторских высказываний, что способствует убеждению адресата в правоте авторской точке зрения. |
| Abstract (in another language): | The article is devoted to the consideration of the category of modality as a component of persuasion on the example of the scientific text. Modality realizes such forms of argumentation as argumentation-confirmation, argumentation-refutation, causal argumentation. The following types of modality involved in these forms of argumentation were identified: evidential modality, illustrative modality, modality of negation, causal modality. Evidential and illustrative modalities participate in argumentation-confirmation. Causal modality is involved in causal argumentation. The modality of negation realizes argumentation-refutation. The abovementioned types of modality are combined into logical modality because they perform a single pragmatic function — the logical accentuation of the most significant arguments substantiating the validity of the author’s statements. By increasing the degree of validity of the author’s statements, logical modality realizes the argumentative aspect of the relevance of the author’s statements, which contributes to the persuasion of the addressee of the correctness of the author’s point of view. |
