| Abstract: | В статье рассматривается эволюция методики преподавания иностранных языков в Португалии в период с XVIII до начала XX в.; анализируется, как менялся подход к преподаванию в данный период времени: классические языки утратили практическую значимость, превратившись в инструмент интеллектуального развития. На первый план вышли современные языки, отвечающие запросам социально-экономического прогресса. Методы обучения также претерпели трансформацию: очевидно, что сдвиг в образовательных приоритетах отражал общую тенденцию к прагматизации обучения, где ключевым стало не теоретическое знание, а практическое применение языка. |
| Abstract (in another language): | This article examines the evolution of foreign language teaching methods in Portugal from the 18th to the early 20th centuries. It analyses how the approach to teaching changed during this period: classical languages lost their practical significance, becoming tools for intellectual development. Modern languages, responding to the demands of socioeconomic progress, came to the fore. Teaching methods also underwent a transformation: it is clear that the shift in educational priorities reflected a general trend toward the pragmatisation of education, where the key focus became not theoretical knowledge but the practical application of language. |
