| Abstract: | В статье рассматриваются вопросы функционирования урбанонимов с национально-культурной составляющей. На примере культурно-маркированной лексики г. Ельца Липецкой области рассматриваются особенности передачи русскоязычных урбанонимов на английский язык. Автор приходит к выводу о том, что при передаче культурно-маркированной лексики следует применять комбинацию переводческих приемов транскрипции/транслитерации и калькирования |
| Abstract (in another language): | The article deals with the issues of functioning of urbanonyms with national-cultural component. Using the example of culturally marked vocabulary of the city of Yelets, Lipetsk region, the features of the transfer of Russian-language urbanonyms into English are considered. The peculiarities of transferring Russian-language urbanonyms into English are considered on the example of the culturally-marked lexicon of Yelets, Lipetsk region. The author comes to the conclusion that when transmitting culturally marked vocabulary, a combination of translation techniques of transcription/transliteration and tracing should be used |
