| Abstract: | В статье анализируется оценка социального статуса «returned students» в китайском обществе 1930-х гг. с точки зрения китайских либеральных интеллектуалов журнала «The China Critic». В журнальных статьях авторы отметили положительные стороны «returned students», определили их вклад в развитие Китая. Критикуя «returned students» за негативное отношение к китайской традиционной культуре, китайские либеральные интеллектуалы обозначили задачи, которые стояли перед китайскими студентами во время учебы за границей, также предложили программу действий по возвращении студентов в Китай |
| Abstract (in another language): | The article analyzes the assessment of the social status of «returned students» in Chinese society in the 1930s from the point of view of Chinese liberal intellectuals of «The China Critic». In journal articles, the authors noted the positive aspects of «returned students», identified their contribution to the development of China. Criticizing «returned students» for their negative attitude towards Chinese traditional culture, Chinese liberal intellectuals outlined the tasks that Chinese students faced while studying abroad, also proposed a program of action for students upon return to China |
