Abstract

The article deals with the problems of studying the reality of Internet – a phenomenon which plays an important role in the evolution of modern society. The research reveals the prospects of using different theoretical approaches in a creating a methodological basis of Internet understanding. On the other hand the main mechanisms of influence of the Internet on society are identified. The practical significance of this research lies in the possibility of using the received data as an instrument of the public policy of the Republic of Belarus in the field of information security and the development of the information society
