Abstract

The genre of a children's piano album is one of the most unique phenomena of world music culture. Its blossoming begins in the middle of the 19th century: piano cycles for R. Schuman's children became a powerful impulse for the development of the special children's piano literature. Inheriting R. Schuman's traditions, composers of the second half of 19th – 20th centuries wrote music for children, thus not only solve didactic problems connected performing on the instrument. In the 20th century in connection with active development of sphere of musical pedagogy the genre of a children's piano album (thanks to the intelligible figurativeness, emotional brightness and technical availability) has got the special urgency which is not losing the value today. Such children's albums build up the base of pedagogical piano repertoire
