| Abstract: | The article is devoted to the baroque ouverture-suite genre, in which the most substantial features of the epoch are concentrated. The main attention of the author is emphasized on phenomenon of the so called «mixto genere». On the basis of analysis of Bach’s orchestral suites the author makes an attempt to define the role of the initial piece of the cycle – ouverture – in the whole composition by means of its correlation with the suite set pieces |
