Abstract: Quality assurance has always had a key role in the aerospace industry, both at a global level and at a Spanish level as well, with the aim of assuring that its products are competitive and safe at the same time. This fact has been intensified with time, because to the traditional importance of the “quality factor” of this sector a more competitive environment has been developed and a growing complexity derived from the fact that no manufacturer exists that carries all steps to elaborate the final product, but it is a result of the collaboration among multiple subcontracted companies. In this way, the objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between the implementation of the Regulation EN 9100 and the existence of certain modern quality practices within the companies of the Spanish aerospace sector.
