CALIDAD UNIVERSITARIA: PERCEPCION DE LOS ESTUDIANTES RIOJANOS SOBRE LAS COMPETENCIAS GENORICAS ADQUIRIDAS EN SU UNIVERSIDAD

Abstract

What are the perceptions of La Rioja University graduates regarding the incorporation of generic competencies into university education within the framework of the European space for higher education? After clarifying the concept of competency and generic competencies, we selected a reference set of thirty one generic competencies and delimited the possible ways or strategies of intervention. A sample of 387 graduates in the University of La Rioja from three scientific areas: engineering, business studies and education, completed a questionnaire in which they evaluated the importance of each one of the competencies selected for their education profile. There was a positive and varied acceptance of generic competencies on the graduates of the need for the development. Finally, in order to make progress on this interesting aspect of higher education, a number of possible steps are put forward.
