Abstract: The work presents a forerunner of the constructivist direction and constructivism of the 1920s in all areas of the arts. The aim was to identify the main trends of musical-theatrical constructivism as an example of the ballet "Le pas d’asier" reflected the traditions of Russian and French art in the first third of the twentieth century. Theoretical and methodological basis of this work consists of an integrated approach, including the synthetic nature of musical- the- atrical genre, historical-cultural and comparative methods. The study has been defined the classic status of Prokofiev's ballet "Le pas d’asier" which fits into the range of musical-theatrical ideas of constructivism 20s of the twentieth century and does not lose relevance in modern culture. However, ballet has a special place among constructivist productions, thanks to the special relation of Prokofiev to new phenomena of modernity and individuality of his style.
