| Abstract: | The article addresses the problem of improving POS tagging quality. The described technology is based on heuristic mechanisms aimed at improving the output of statistical POS taggers. The suggested implementation is a hybrid of statistical and rule-based POS tagging systems that operates at different syntactic and lexical layers of a sentence. |
