| Abstract: | Using ultrasonic method we tried to determine the frequency of enthesitis and identify the features of its manifestation in 30 patients with proven rheumatoid arthritis and 30 patients known to have reactive arthritis. Enthesitis is more typical for patients having reactive arthritis (р<0,001). It is characterized by decreased echogenicity, thickening, changes in the periosteum, calcifications, microbreaks (р<0,001). Our results can be used for early differential diagnosis of arthritis. |
