Рассматривается феномен псевдоисторического романа, для которого характерно восприятие истории как «незавершенного текста», подлежащего авторской интерпретации и искажению. В центре исследования — образ Жанны д’Арк как классический пример симулякра, утратившего связь с историческим оригиналом и существующего в виде набора культурных кодов. | Abstract (in another language): | The article is devoted to the analysis of the novel «The Maid» by K. Cutter in the context of postmodern aesthetics. It examines the phenomenon of the pseudo-historical novel, which is characterized by the perception of history as an "unfinished text" that is subject to authorial interpretation and distortion. The focus of the study is on the image of Joan of Arc as a classic example of a simulacrum that has lost its connection with the historical original and exists as a set of cultural codes. The article argues that the author deliberately uses deconstruction strategies to deconstruct the mythologized and canonical image of the saint |
