Abstract: The paper is devoted to the study of the formal differential expression of the form Lu = -Δu + aδu + b∂δ/ ∂x1u with generalized coefficients. Approximations of the singular part by means of a family of finite range operators are constructed and resolvent convergence of the approximations is investigated.
