Abstract: We propose a sequential test for detecting inhomogeneities among problem versions in timed competitions. Modeling participant arrivals and solve times as stochastic processes, we show that under the homogeneity null hypothesis the sequential divergence statistic converges weakly to a chi-square stochastic process. This enables real-time fairness monitoring. The method provides a criterion for withdrawing problematic versions during ongoing contests
