Abstract: The spherically symmetric short-range interaction for the physical system with a finite number of bound states is simulated with the help of smooth confinement potential of new type which is constructed by means of composition of pseudoharmonic potentials. The exact wave functions and energy levels are found. The dependence of energy spectrum on potential parameters is investigated.
