| Abstract: | Представлены краткие сведения о программном пакете Generic Mapping Tools (GMT ), который входит в программу подготовки студентов и магистрантов геологических специальностей на факультете географии и геоинформатики Белорусского государственного университета в качестве одного из ГИС-средств и позволяет создавать высококачественные графические построения и анимации при выполнении курсовых и дипломных работ, написании магистерских диссертаций, научных статей и др. Рассмотрены основные функциональные возможности пакета, отмечены его главные отличия от коммерческих ГИС. Приведены примеры использования программного пакета GMT для решения геолого-геофизических задач в процессе освоения этого ГИС-средства студентами. |
| Abstract (in another language): | The article provides brief information about the Generic Mapping Tools (GMT ) software package, which is included in the training programme for undergraduate and graduate students of geological specialties at the faculty of geography and geoinformatics of the Belarusian State University as one of the GIS tools. It allows creating high-quality graphic figures and animations when completing term papers and theses, writing master’s dissertations, scientific articles, etc. The main functional capabilities of the package are considered, and its main difierences from commercial GIS are noted. Examples of using the GMT software package to solve geological and geophysical problems in the process of mas tering this GIS tool by students are considered. |
