| Abstract: | Рассматриваются способы выражения аксиологических суждений в путевых заметках Уильяма Гилпина (1724–1804), одного из основоположников эстетического течения “picturesque”. На основе параметрического анализа, выполненного с когнитивно-дискурсивных позиций, сделан вывод о дихотомичности оценочных понятий в исследуемом тексте. Разграничение объектов на живописные и неживописные обусловлены авторским соотношением природы и искусства, а также его субъективным восприятием сквозь призму категории “picturesque beauty” |
| Abstract (in another language): | We analyse ways of expressing axiological propositions in William Gilpin’s (1724–1804) travel notes, who was one of the founders the “picturesque” category. Based on parametric analysis performed from a cognitive-discursive perspective, the conclusion is made about the dichotomy of evaluative concepts in the text under study. The differentiation of objects into picturesque and not picturesque is due to the author’s view on nature and art, as well as his subjective perception through the prism of the category “picturesque beauty” |
