| Abstract: | В работе на основе широкого круга архивных источников освещается вопрос участия жителей Стародубщины в войне 1812 г. и заграничных походах русской армии 1813–1814 гг. в составе Малороссийского ополчения. Делается акцент на пограничную специфику региона, которую успешно использовало российское правительство, так как, несмотря на утрату Стародубщиной порубежного статуса, между краем и территориями бывшего Великого Княжества Литовского пролегала фантомная граница, разделявшая население теперь уже одного государства. При этом использование стародубских казаков и крестьян во время указанных военных конфликтов являлось и очередным этапом преобразований проводимых в регионе с конца XVIII до середины XIX в. |
| Abstract (in another language): | The article, based on a wide range of archival sources, highlights the issue of the participation of Starodub residents in the war of 1812 and the foreign campaigns of the Russian army in 1813–1814 as part of the Malorussian militia. Emphasis is placed on the border specifics of the region, which was successfully used by the Russian government, since, despite the loss of Starodubshchina's border status, a phantom border ran between the region and the territories of the former Grand Duchy of Lithuania, dividing the population of what was now one state. At the same time, the use of Starodub cossacks and peasants during the aforementioned military conflicts was also the next stage of the transformations carried out in the region from the end of the 18th to the middle of the 19th century |
