| dc.description.alternative | The SCO’s participation in the settlement of the Afghan problem is analysed. Priority attention is paid to the interaction of the parties in the field of security. The creation of the SCO turned out to be closely connected with the crisis in Afghanistan. The instability of the situation in the country still has a serious impact on the security of the member states. Since the establishment of the organisation, the Afghan issue has been viewed through the prism of terrorism, separatism, extremism and drug trafficking. It is concluded that the SCO is playing an active role in the process of establishing peace in Afghanistan by launching anti-terrorist mechanisms, conducting anti-terrorist activities and establishing anti-terrorist partnership with the country. | ru |
