В связи с различными этапами развития информационного сообщества, существует множество определений этого термина, предложенных англоязычными и русскоязычными источниками. В условиях текущего этапа цифровой трансформации и развития искусственного интеллекта и других передовых технологий эти определения стали более обширными, охватывая изменения в методах мышления, коммуникациях и творчестве, обусловленных цифровыми инновациями
