Abstract: The article examines the key changes and development of British foreign policy in the Middle East at the end of the XX century. The main trends of the UK's foreign policy course and their typical instruments of influence on this region are identified. The main interests of Great Britain and the ways of their implementation in the Middle East in cooperation with the United States have been distinguished. The most important cause and catalyst of events in the Middle East at the end of the XX century was the crisis, and then the collapse of the USSR
