Abstract:	Учебная дисциплина «Geography of Nations» изучается студентами магистратуры факультета журналистики БГУ на английском языке, получающих углубленное высшее образование по специальности 7-06-0321-01 Журналистика (профилизация: Журналистика в межкультурной и геополитической коммуникации). Актуальность изучения дисциплины обусловлена необходимостью получения знаний о многообразии народов и этносов в мире, географии их размещения и особенностях демографического развития, а также о расовых, лингвистических и этно-конфессиональных различиях, что является важным условием подготовки специалистов-журналистов в области межкультурной и геополитической коммуникации.
Abstract (in another language):	The academic discipline “Geography of Nations” is studied by master’s students of the Faculty of Journalism of BSU in English, receiving advanced higher education in the specialty 7-06-0321-01 Journalism (major: Journalism in intercultural and geopolitical communication). The relevance of studying the discipline is due to the need to obtain knowledge about the diversity of peoples and ethnic groups in the world, the geography of their location and the characteristics of demographic development, as well as racial, linguistic and ethno-confessional differences, which is an important condition for the training of specialist journalists in the field of intercultural and geopolitical communication.
