| Abstract: | На основе изученных архивных данных исследуется порядок вещевого обеспечения заключенных в тюрьмах на белорусских землях во второй четверти XIX – начале ХХ в. Показано значение в осуществлении этой деятельности региональных подразделений общероссийской благотворительной организации «Общество попечительное о тюрьмах». Определяются причины ненадлежащего обеспечения осужденных одеждой и обувью до тюремной реформы 1879 г. Исследуется комплекс мер, принятых Главным тюремным управлением, по улучшению вещевого обеспечения заключенных на белорусских землях в конце XIX – начале ХХ в. |
| Abstract (in another language): | Based on the study of archival data, the procedure for clothing provision of prisoners in prisons on Belarusian lands in the second quarter of the XIX – early XX centuries is being investigated. The importance of regional divisions of the All-Russian charitable organization – «Prison Guardianship Society» in the implementation of this activity is being assessed. The reasons for the improper provision of convicts with clothes and shoes before the prison reform of 1879 are being determined. A set of measures is being investigated taken by the General Directorate of the Corps of Prison to improve the clothing provision of prisoners on Belarusian lands in the late XIX – early XX centuries is being investigated. |
