| Abstract: | В статье рассматривается проблема участия пограничных отрядов, дислоцированных в июне 1941 г. на старой польско-советской (Рижской) границе (так называемая зона пограничного заграждения), в боевых действиях начального периода Великой Отечественной войны. Раскрываются дислокация и состав 13-го Березинского пограничного отряда к 22 июня 1941 г. Реконструируется участие отряда в оборонительных боях на территории Белорусской ССР (июнь – июль 1941 г.). Отмечается, что в ходе боев под Лепелем (3–4 июля) и Уллой (5–7 июля) отряд понес большие потери. Прослежена судьба личного состава 13-го пограничного отряда на основании архивных списков потерь, составленных в 1941–1945 гг. Показано, что после вывода отряда в район г. Велижа – районного центра Смоленской области, он был передан в Управление охраны тыла Западного фронта. С этого момента погранотряд выполнял функции по охране тыла 22-й армии. |
| Abstract (in another language): | The article deals with the problem of the border detachments’ participation stationed in June 1941 on the old Polish-Soviet (Riga) border (the so-called border fence zone) in the hostilities of the initial period of the Great Patriotic War. The deployment and composition of the 13th Berezinsky border detachment by June 22, 1941 are revealed. The detachment’s participation in defensive battles on the territory of the Byelorussian SSR (June – July 1941) is reconstructed. It is noted that during the battles near Lepel (July 3–4) and Ulla (July 5–7), the detachment suffered heavy losses. The fate of the personnel of the 13th border detachment is traced on the basis of archival lists of losses compiled in 1941–1945. It is shown that after the withdrawal of the detachment to Velizh, the regional town of the Smolensk region, it was transferred to the Directorate for the Protection of the Rear of the Western Front. From that moment the border detachment performed the functions of protecting the rear of the 22nd Army. |
