Abstract:	The methodological work provides a brief information about the Generic Mapping Tools software package for constructing geological and geographical maps, profiles, graphs, histograms and other graphic applications used when writing scientific papers by undergraduates. The work corresponds to the curriculum "GIS Software in Applied Geology". The main functionality of the package is described, examples of writing subroutines for constructing a number of graphic illustrations are given.
Abstract (in another language):	Дана краткая информация о программном комплексе Generic Mapping Tools для построения геолого-географических карт, профилей, графиков, гистограмм и других графических приложений, используемых при написании научных работ магистрантами. Издание соответствует учебной программе «Программное обеспечение ГИС в прикладной геологии». Описывается основной функционал пакета, приводятся примеры написания подпрограмм для построения ряда графических иллюстраций.
