| Abstract: | Статья посвящена проблеме трансформации в японской народной традиции образов «мстительных духов» в богов процветания. Указывается, что страх перед духами, способными принести несчастья, способствовал стремлению задобрить их. В связи с этим строились специальные храмы, а злые духи обожествлялись, превращаясь в добрых богов. Ставится цель на примере образа известного героя раннесредневековой японской истории Тайра-но Масакадо показать процесс превращения в народной культуре и религии «мстительного духа» в бога-целителя и бога-помощника. Впервые проведенный анализ дает возможность поставить вопрос о закономерностях такой трансформации. Исследование подобного рода дает основание для широкого понимания процессов переосмысления и роли народного восприятия героического прошлого |
| Abstract (in another language): | The study focuses on the transformation of vengeful spirits into deities of prosperity in Japanese folk tradition. It demonstrates that the fear of evil spirits caused people to placate them, building shrines for such spirits and deifying them to the status of benevolent gods. The study aims to demonstrate the process of such transformation on the example of Taira no Masakado, a famous figure from the Heian period of Japanese history, who turned from a vengeful spirit into a helper and healer deity. Such an analysis was conducted for the first time and it offers some insight into the patterns of these transformations in religion and folk culture. Studies of this kind can extend our understanding of the processes behind the reinterpretation of folk hero images and the role of the public's perception of the heroic past |
