Abstract: Laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is one of the most common types of atomic element analysis, which is widely used both for the analysis of industrial facilities and for the study of biological samples, art objects and artifacts. Due to the expressiveness, the absence of the need for mechanical and chemical sample preparation, minimal destruction of the surface, high sensitivity LIBS has proven itself for studying concentrations of various types of substances (metals, semiconductors, dielectrics) in various aggregate states. However, most of the scientific publications are devoted to the determination of metal concentrations both in multicomponent alloys and as trace elements in a non-metallic base (tablets, so-called "heavy metals" in biological objects and polymers). The purpose of the work was to investigate the effect of laser radiation parameters on the excitation of atomic and ion lines in the emission spectra of metals and multicomponent alloys during single-pulse and double-pulse laser ablation of metals and alloys. As a result, the optimal values of the inter-pulse intervals between the double laser pulses, providing the maximum value of the relative intensity of spectral lines at a constant total energy and power of laser radiation for zinc, copper and lead were determined
