Abstract (in another language): The article analyzes the current content and dynamics of the development of women's organizations in Belarusian society as well as the research gender approach in the study of problems related to gender equality. The author is focused primarily on the non-government organizations devoted to mitigation of the social problems that are essential for women. Women's organizations in Belarus include not only gender organizations that are fighting for gender equality in several spheres of life; they also include organizations helping women in trouble (poor families, single mothers, women suffering from home violence, etc.). Additionally, women's organizations unite the professional groups of women (in business, education) and those who provide services in advocacy, education, and social work. Three periods in Post-Soviet history of gender studies and building a network of women's organizations are selected: 1) the 1990s when these organizations were mushrooming and gender methodology was introduced in social science in Belarus; 2) the 2000s, when the state control over all the public organizations increased and caused their reduction; 3) the second decade of the XXI c., when e-network women's organizations appeared in Belarusian landscape. The third period is also characterized by the unexpected appearance of radical women's protest activities in 2020. This movement did not make a significant effect on women's organizations in Belarus, but highlighted some common characteristics of current situation in Post-Soviet countries: prevalence of social problems that are common for men and women (growth of poverty, decrease of standard of living, desire of young generations to actively influence decision-making process) and the necessity of joint social actions of all social groups. At the same time in a Belarusian society at large there is more interest to keep social achievements for women and families rather than fight for political rights and gender equality.
