Abstract: | Technology is the key to human progress. Looking at the history of human economic growth for more than 200 years, from the steam engine to the invention of electricity to information technology today, every major general technological change has brought about the re-optimization of resource allocation and continued economic prosperity. The digital economy is also having a pro-found impact on the economic and social actors, as a new wave of technological and industrial change, mainly in digital technology, is now underway worldwide. The process of urbanization has different degrees of impact on urban economy, resource utilization, quality of life, time cost and sustainable development, and with the increasing urbanization and population, urban managers around the world are facing increasingly serious challenges. This paper discusses the basic content of smart cities in the digital economy, combines the role of digital economy development in the construction of smart cities, takes China as an example, studies the challenges of digital economy and smart city construction, and proposes that Belarus should give full play to the role of digital economy in the construction of smart cities by accelerating the construction of digital government and strengthening digital governance, consolidating the infrastructure construction of urban networks, and accelerating the release of the value of data elements, etc. The analysis of the role of the digital economy in the construction of the smart city puts forward opinions and suggestions in order to improve the digital radiation drive of the smart city |
