| Abstract: | Автор доказывает, что в VIII-IX вв. существовали две парадигмы участия королев в политической жизни страны: мерсийская и уэссекская. Первая парадигма оказывала влияние через статус королевы как матери короля. Вторая парадигма блокировала влияние через законы. При Эдуарде Старшем королевы Уэссекса восстановили влияние на политическую жизнь страны |
| Abstract (in another language): | The author proves that in the VIII-IX cent. there were two paradigms of the participation of queens in the political life of the country: the Mercian and the Wessex. The first paradigm provided influence through the queen's status as the mother of the king. The second paradigm blocked influence through laws. Under Edward the Elder, the Queens of Wessex regained influence over the country's political life |
