Abstract: | Two models of Nd:LSB microchip laser with Cr:YAG saturable absorber have been compared: the travelling wave model and the point model which is deduced from the first one by averaging of all characteristics over the resonator length. It has been shown that the point model is applicable only for a narrow range of laser parameters, in other cases the results of simulations based on these two models differ significantly. |
