Abstract: The influence of technological parameters of the Grand Solar Furnace on the structure and properties of materials synthesized from the melt have been studied in this work. It was found that the crystalline state, phase composition, microstructure and mechanical properties of pyroxene group material were strongly dependent on the flux density of solar radiation and cooling speed. The findings showed that homogeneous disperse microstructure with optimal combination of crystalline and amorphous phases received from the melt led to the wear resistance increase.
