Языковые средства выражения категории вежливости в испанском языке исторически связаны с представлением о социально престижном пространстве, что противоречит потребностям демократической части современного испанского общества. Представление о вежливости у французов связывается с идеей об индивидуальных свойствах личности, которая и в современном французском обществе не потеряла своей актуальности. It also provides with effective and harmonious interaction during the communication. The category of politeness has its own peculiarities in different linguistic cultures. Spanish language means of politeness are historically related with the notion of a socially prestigious space. This fact enters in contradiction with the needs of the democratic part of Spanish society. The French politeness is associated with the idea of individual qualities of a person. This fact has not lost its relevance in modern French society. The purpose of investigation consists in discovering the reasons for the different attitude in the Spanish and French linguistic culture to the historically formed means of politeness.
