| Abstract: | Уездные полицейские управления белорусских губерний оказались не готовы к массовым протестам как в уездных городах, так и в сельской местности. Осо- бенностью этих протестов стало насилие со стороны участников беспорядков. В результате малочисленность полиции стала причиной привлечения к охране порядка воинских подразделений русской армии. В условиях 1905 г. общая поли- ция не имела возможности широко применять легальное принуждение, ограни- ченно использовала оружие. |
| Abstract (in another language): | The district police departments of the Belarusian provinces turned out to be unprepared for mass protests both in district cities and in rural areas. A feature of these protests was the violence against police officers used by rioters. As a result, the small number of police became the reason for the involvement of the military units of the Russian army in the protection of order. Under the conditions of 1905, the general police did not have the opportunity to widely use legal coercion, and used weapons to a limited extent. |
