| Abstract: | В статье на примере православной и католической церквей рассмотрена эволюция межконфессиональных отношений в Северо-Западном крае Россий- ской империи в конце XVIII – начале XX в. Выделены и охарактеризованы эта- пы их трансформации. Указаны вызовы, которые возникали перед конфессиями и обществом в рассматриваемое время. Отмечена роль государства в реакции на них. Показана специфика видения перспектив этих отношений в среде сто- личных и региональных элит. Сделан общий вывод о роли межконфессиональных отношений в формировании модерных социальных общностей. |
| Abstract (in another language): | The article examines the evolution of interfaith relations in the North-West region of the Russian Empire in the late 18th – early 20th centuries by the example of the Orthodox and Catholic churches. The stages of their transformation are highlighted and characterized. The challenges that confessions and society faced during that time period are indicated. The role of the State in response to them is demonstrated. The perception specificity concerning the prospects of these relations among the capital and regional elites is shown. A general conclusion is made about the role of interfaith relations in the formation of modern social communities |
