| Abstract: | Исследуется одна из наиболее загадочных страниц биографии Михала Сокольницкого, видного участника польского патриотического движения конца XVIII — начала XIX в. Деятельность М. Сокольницкого в качестве переводчика и разведчика во время русского похода 1812 г. анализируется на основе неопубликованных рапортов этого дивизионного генерала из Национального архива Франции. Содержание документов позволяет не только типологизировать методы ведения армейской разведки, но и определить степень их эффективности. |
| Abstract (in another language): | It was studied one of the most enigmatic pages of the biography of Michal Sokolnicki, a prominent member of the Polish patriotic movement in the late XVIII — early XIX cent. Activities of Sokolnicki as an interpreter and intelligence officer during the Russian campaign in 1812 is analyzed on the basis of unpublished reports of this divisional general from the National Archives of France. The content of the documents allows not only to bring out the typology of methods of military intelligence, but also to determine their degree of effectiveness. |
