| Abstract: | Анализируется освещение положения русинов Словакии и Подкарпатской Руси в межвоенный период на страницах органа греко-католических русских братств Северной Америки газеты «Американский русский вестник». Если сразу после образования Чехословакии «Американский русский вестник» приветствовал вхождение в ее состав земель к югу от Карпат, населенных русинами, то позже на страницах газеты стала появляться все более резкая критика чехословацких властей за невыполнение ими обещаний о предоставлении автономии Подкарпатской Руси и дискриминацию и ассимиляцию русинов Словакии. |
| Abstract (in another language): | The article analyzes the coverage of Rusyn population in Slovakia and Subcarpathian Rus’ by «Amerikansky Russky Vestnik», the official organ of the «Greek Catholic Union of Rusyn Brotherhoods» based in Homestead, Pennsylvania (USA). While right after the emergence of independent Czechoslovakia «Amerikansky Russky Vestnik» was generally positive about incorporation of Rusyn populated lands in Czechoslovak state, later this periodical changed drastically its tone and started publishing critical materials about Czechoslovak policy in Rusyn question voicing concern about absence of autonomy of Subcarpathian Rus’ within Czechoslovakia and about discrimination and assimilation of Rusyns in Slovakia. |
