Abstract:	В словацкой национальной историографии Юрай Папанек считается первым автором обобщенного труда по истории Словакии. Его работу «Historia gentis Slavae – De regno regibusque Slavorum atque cum prisci civilis, et ecclesiastici» (1780) (История славянского народа - о королевствах и королях словаков), написанную на заре эпохи Просвещения, можно отметить как один из последних примеров традиций барочного славизма, отличающийся смелостью комбинаций стилей и научным предромантизмом.
Abstract (in another language):	In Slovak national historiography, Juraj Papanek is considered the first author of a generalized work on the history of Slovakia. His work Historia gentis Slavae - De regno regibusque Slavorum atque cum prisci civilis, et ecclesiastici (1780) (History of the Slavic people - about the kingdoms and kings of Slovaks), written at the dawn of the Enlightenment, can be noted as one of the last examples of the traditions of Baroque Slavism characterized by bold combinations of styles and scientific pre-romanticism.
