| Abstract: | Рассмотрена тема территориального статуса Восточной Галиции в свете вооруженной борьбы и конкуренции западных компаний за нефтяные месторождения региона после Первой мировой войны. Проанализированы связи между официальными позициями западных правительств в отношении Восточной Галиции и точками зрения некоторых заинтересованных политиков, формированию которых способствовали усилия лоббистов из среды нефтепромышленников. Основными источниками для статьи послужили архивные документы французского внешнеполитического ведомства, помогающие прояснить причины решения данного вопроса в пользу французских компаний. |
| Abstract (in another language): | The present paper examines the territorial status of Eastern Galicia, a trans border region in Eastern Europe, through the prism of armed struggle and international competition for its oil fields after the First World War. The subject proposed aims to establish the connections between official viewpoints and informal government attitudes, influenced by private lobbyists from the petroleum industry, while determining the status of Eastern Galicia. The sources for the paper come from the Diplomatic Archives of France, helping to explain why the struggle in question was eventually won by French oilmen. |
