Abstract:	Анализируются споры об этническом характере региональной народной культуры. Автор, приводя примеры из западночешского региона (Пльзеньско), аргументирует, что определение «славянскости» или «германскости» конкретных культурных артефактов или даже более широких культурных систем скорее идеологическое предпочтение определенного интерпретатора, нежели научные изыскания.
Abstract (in another language):	The study deals with then time disputes concerning the designation of the ethnic character of regional folk culture. The author uses selected examples from the West Bohemian region (Plzen region) to argue that differentiating between the «Slavicness» and «Germanness» of particular cultural artifacts or, indeed, of largescale cultural systems, was not so much a matter of the scientific reflection but rather an ideological wish on the part of a specific interpreter.
