| Abstract: | Традиционная индийская хронология древности имела свои ключевые даты, среди которых было и начало нынешней эры – кали-юги. Согласно традиции, идущей от Арьябхаты, тогда началась описанная в Махабхарате война, кульминацией которой стала знаменитая битва при Курукшетре. По подсчетам аль-Бируни, основанным на идеях Арьябхаты, начало кали-юги датируется 3102 г. до н. э. Сама же война, по указаниям древнеиндийского астронома Варахамихиры, связана с началом пандава-калы и хронологически связана с шака-калой. Существует также ряд указаний пуран, которые традиционно используются в хронологии. Настоящие исследования показывают, что дата начала кали-юги Арьябхаты является наименее спорной, и война Махабхараты связана с начальным периодом кали-юги |
| Abstract (in another language): | The traditional Indian chronology of Ancient Times had its key dates, including the beginning of the present era – Kaliyuga. According to the tradition, take sits origin from Aryabhata, the war, described in the Mahabharata, started at that time, and the well-known battle at Kurukshetra became its culmination. According to the calculations of al-Biruni, having its foundation on ideas of Aryabhata, the beginning of Kaliyuga has taken place in 3102 BC. The very war, under indications of Ancient Indian astronomer Varahamihira, was connected to the beginning of Pandavakala, and those events were connected chronologically to Shakakala. There is also a number of related puranic evidences, and traditionally they are used in chronology. The present researches show that the date for the beginning of Kaliyuga, put ahead by Aryabhata, is the least disputable one, and Mahabharata war was definitely connected to that event |
