Abstract: The catalytic properties of nanostructures formed by Ag+ reduction at equilibrium and nonequilibrium conditions on glassy carbon and film Sn02-electrodes have been investigated. Metastable structures formation from unstable Ag clusters at nonequilibrium reduction of 1013 – 1015 Ag atoms/cm2 have been found to result in the potential selective increase of the catalytic activity in formaldehyde anodic oxidation
