Abstract: The investigation of the reciprocity law failure in the low exposure region using the standard and modified development of silver-halide photographic materials was carried out. The reciprocity failure is shown to be less pronounced in the case of modified development. This fact is due to involving into development process the sub-atomic latent image centres which are not developable by standard developer
