Abstract: Specific features of the opposite Bragg scattering by the phase superlattices of photoelasticity fabricated using gyrotropic cubic crystals are investigated. It has been shown that opposite Bragg scattering by ultrasonic waves of small frequenses in superlattices of photoelasticity from gyrotropic germanate vismuth cubic crystals is possible. The dependences of diffraction efficiencies on the ultrasonic wave intensity and acoustooptical interaction length are investigated
