Abstract:	В статье проанализированы направления научной и педагогической деятельности доктора филологических наук, профессора С.М. Прохоровой. Приводятся некоторые факты ее биографии. Круг научных интересов С.М. Прохоровой – диалектный синтаксис, разработка теории вертикальных синтаксических полей, изучение и обобщение закона о языковой непрерывности, концептуализация динамического мира в славянских языках, выявление в них национально-культурного компонента.
Abstract (in another language):	The article is dedicated to the analysis of the scientific and educational activities of Doctor of Philology, Professor S.M. Prokhorova. Some facts of the professor’s biography are given. The scope of her scientific interests includes dialect syntax, the development of the vertical syntactic field theory, the study and generalization of the language continuity law and the conceptualization of the dynamic world in the Slavic languages with the identification of the national-cultural component in them.
