| Abstract: | This study evaluates the recent changes in the lake sufrace area of Poland. These changes are a result of the variation of the water level and the increace in sediments within the basin. A combination of these factors determine the more or less continuous changes in surface area. Among 7061 Polish lakes with an area of more than 1 hectare, there are data on the variation of water levels only for 100 of them. |
