| Abstract: | The average size of Belarusian Common Crane breeding population was estimated as 850 pairs. This value seems to be underestimated as extrapolation was done with caution. Stabilization of the number occured diring the last decades, even small increase is possible, but much more smaller than increase observed in some other European countries. Concentrations of unbreeding individuals were observed in several mire tracts in summer, their total number probably exceed 1000 birds. |
