| Abstract: | The review is devoted to the substantiation of the concept about using of carbohydrate-binding proteins (lectins) as stimulators of cellular functions in biomedical research. The general information on lectins, their physiological role, biological activity of herbal and endogenous lectins, and the application of lectins for study of disease-associated disfunctions of blood cells including cancer-dependent aterations are discussed. |
